short biography
 
Before commencing her own performance work, Steffi has performed in numerous performances throughout Europe, notably with devised performance company mkultra, London, as well as f2 performance unit, Athens.
 
In 2009 she completed a practice-based Phd in Performing Arts at Middlesex University under Prof. Susan Melrose and Rosemary Butcher, researching the topic: The Invisible Expert Practitioner: Theorising Performer Expertise in Contemporary Devised Performance-Making.
 
Since 2005 she has been teaching undergraduates in Performing Arts. Current teaching engagements are at Middlesex University, Royal Holloway and Queen Mary, University of London. In the past she has also taught at Kingston University.
 
She is training and teaching regularly tai chi ch’uan at the Original Wu’s Style Tai Chi Ch’uan Academy, London, and enters national as well as international competitions.

Since 2006 Steffi has created several self-devised solo performances, which constitute a series of experimentations. The different works were shown at Chisenhale Dance Space, London, at the festival frisch eingetroffen at zeitraum exit, Mannheim (Germany), at the You and Your Work festival at the Cube Microplex, Bristol, at the Scene Pool festival at the Camden People’s Theatre, London, at the Performance Art Now/ Then and After at Chelsea College of Art, London, at the I Am Still Your Worst Nightmare festival at the Arnolfini, Bristol and at the emergency platform at the greenroom, Manchester. She has presented a full production of the series, commissioned by the greenroom and hÅb, Manchester, in April 2009, as well as in London in May 2009.
